Montse Venturós, you will never walk alone

The Mayor of Berga, Montse Venturós, was detained this morning by surprise. Her crime? She hung a pro-independence flag from the balcony of the city hall. Instead of persecuting corruption, the State demostrates its impotence by pursuing through the court system more than 300 city hall governments that have decided that the path to the Catalan Republic is unstoppable.

The responsability for the detention belongs to a hyperpoliticized judicial system. The successive Governments of the State have preferred to delegate the unity of Spain to judges, instead of offering an attractive project to citizens.

The Catalan National Assembly is prepared to face this final phase of the independence process, a phase in which both unity and determination will be necessary. Unity to defend our elected representatives, and determination to cross the paper wall that the State has turned itself into.

Now, more than ever, it’s essential that we citizens demonstrate our commitment to the defense of the democratic institutions of this country, by attending the demonstration on November 13, on Avinguda Maria Cristina, in front of the fountains of Montjuïc in Barcelona.

In Catalan: Montse Venturós, mai caminaràs sola
